The Primary Care Foundation has been commissioned by the Department of Health to undertake a stocktake/study across England of GPs and GP services working alongside, within, and with A&E Services.
The work consists of a number of components. We have gathered information from A&E services, GP providers and PCT commissioners via questionnaire and visits to a number of departments and providers. In addition we asked the service across England to tell us about good practice.
The information gathering phase of the project is complete and we are working on the outcomes for the Department of Health.
