Has the level of bureaucracy in general practice improved over the last year or got worse? What changes do NHS England need to make to reduce the burden on your practice?
We have just been asked by NHS England to test out whether the bureaucratic burden on general practices across England has improved or not since we last ran the survey early in 2015. The results of the last survey, developed with our partners at CFEP UK Surveys, had an immediate impact and led to important changes, so now, for example, the standard contract for NHS Trusts says they must allow two weeks to rearrange a missed hospital appointment rather than immediately starting all over again. It is a real opportunity to directly affect national policy makers. Everyone who completes the survey will also be invited to take part in national sessions with leaders from the main organisations responsible for managing the current system, including Capita, so you can put your ideas and concerns direct to decision makers and help shape better solutions for the future.
Please make your voice heard by going to bureaucracy survey … it should take no more than 10 minutes of your time and might save a lot more!
